With SMART CALL, customers find their way through the queue by service call to the desired position from the moment they queue. Monitors at the exit show the next available position and, in addition, LED lights at the counter or terminal help support the digital call system. Staff call the next customer to the service position via remote control or, alternatively, the call can be made fully automatically by personnel sensors. Self-service devices (ticket machines, self-service checkouts) can also perform the call.
Calling systems with person recognition can give priority to special queues (first class, VIP, families). Depending on the volume, the corresponding number of service positions is reserved and returned to the remaining queue after appropriate use.
