The slotted blade or “bent stub” antenna provides both vertically and horizontally polarized components of radiated energy. This feature fills in the antenna pattern hole typically exhibited by the 1/4 wave stub antenna. The “bent stub” also provides a vertically polarized component when the aircraft is in a steep bank attitude.
Scalable to other frequencies for nominal engineering fee. Add suffix letter “S” for stainless steel or “A” for aluminum configuration.
