The AD32 Digital Air Data Display combines an air data computer with a digital altimeter in a 3ATI form factor. This makes the THOMMEN AD32 Air Data Display ideally suited for replacing standby altimeters in fixed wing & rotorcraft while minimizing installation efforts.
The AD32 measures pitot and static pressure using Vibrating Cylinder Technology (VCT) sensors. These sensors are highly accurate and stable making our AD32 virtually drift-free, effectively eliminating calibration and exceeding FAA Technical Standard Order (TSO) accuracy requirements.
The AD32 Digital Air Data Display can be equipped for RVSM and/or NVIS compatibility to suit aircraft system requirements. Additional options allow the pilot to switch between metric and imperial altitude information.
Corrected altitude is displayed on a high contrast LCD in both digital and analog format. With a fast reacting stepper-motor driven pointer, the AD32 enables virtually “real-time” indication of the altitude during rapid vertical maneuvers.
The AD32 communicates via its ARINC429 interface. Data in-/output can be configured per requirements while keeping non-recurrent costs at a minimum. The extensive Built-In-Test system and rugged design guarantees safe operation.
With flexible configurability the AD32 is capable of supplying altitude pre-select, baro correction, discrete word output and more to next generation equipment with minimum alteration to the aircraft’s system architecture.
