Description

Thermotion’s Electronic Coolant Control Valve p/n 354-69494 consists of a 4-port bypass butterfly water valve powered by an electric actuator. The ECC controls coolant flow with an electrical signal. An integral position feedback potentiometer is included. The ECC is ideal for use with a space- efficient HVAC system that eliminates the blend air temperature door and controls the discharge air temperature by modulating coolant flow to the heater core. This allows the heater and evaporator cores to be installed face to face, or the use of an integral heater/evaporator core to reduce the space requirements. In some assemblies the required space can be reduced by as much as 55%. Features 4-Port, 5/8ʺ (16mm) Hose Connections 12 VDC or 24 VDC Operation Integral Feedback Capability Positive Valve Position Control When Interfaced with On-board Controller Internal bypass rate: Up to 0.20 gal/min (750cc) (1992 Eaton spec to Ford) (if heater core is blocked) 6 GPM Approximate Flow Rate Lightweight Under-Hood Design Meets Automotive OEM Specifications Enclosure Protection Class: Unsealed, IP-40 Minumum voltage: 9VDC / Maximum voltage: 30VDC Maximum operating current = 300 milliampers @12VDC Maximum operating current = 600 milliampers @24VDC Nominal operating current = 70 milliamper @12VDC Tensile strength of plastic valve body is 20,000 PSI Deflection Temperature is 264 PSI @ 410°F Crimp ring is tested to 30 in/lbs of torque without nipple roation
