Description

The ELPAR II Direction Finding (DF) system is on off-the-shelf, mature and proven product that has been designed nlfy tr> *aivm the SIGINT user community. The system is physicaly small and lightweight, yet extremely rugged. Its compoct Jize easily lends itself to mobile and flyaway applications. The total frequency range of TECOM's ELPAR II system is separated into three discrete frequency bands using separate antennas. An optional stand-alone cup dipole array covers 0.5-1.0GHz, while the main ELPAR II reflector and feed combination covers the operational frequency range of 1.0-18.0 GHz. Acditionally, a separate and smaller optional ELPAR II reflector and feed combination is provided that covers the frequency ranges of 18.0-40.0 GHz. Each antenna is mounted on a common rotator assembly, and connected to a combiner network for RF distribution to customer furnished equipment. The RF output from the TECCM ELPAR II system can be provided on a single RF cable to reduce system complexity.
