Your on-board battery can then be saved for emergency use only. As it’s super portable, this starting unit can be carried on-board easily and it comes into its own when out in the field, securing all your engine starts and ensuring that you don’t experience any downtime, even in remote locations. Certain aircraft will also allow the ship’s generator to back charge a GPU. In this manner, the START PAC® can be recharged in the field without an AC source indefinitely. Once back at home base, it can also be used as a light duty jump starter.
