Description

How can large, heavy-duty and bulky workpieces be processed without adversely affecting the weight and size of the machining result? The Droop+Rein G series has been specifically developed to tackle this difficult task. The gantry machines reliably prevent dynamic losses through the table and workpiece. The G series has many technical highlights to meet the requirements of complex machining tasks, such as the hydrostatic guide in all linear axes or the thermo-symmetrical design of the spool milling unit with an integrated C-axis. Milling heads can be changed automatically via a head change interface. Droop+Rein has developed over 300 different milling heads for a variety of applications - such as machining large diesel engines. The option to set up in a second working area during the machining time allows increased productivity. Control options The series offers the Heidenhain iTNC 530 or Siemens Sinumerik 840 D control. Variable operating areas For machining operations of cubic workpieces a turning table for turning operations can be integrated (in addition to a platefield). Fork-type milling head Self manufactured fork type head for 3+2 axis machining in P-Version or five axis machining in C-version. High drive power The G/GF series offers with up to 150 kW (S1) power and 12000 Nm (S1) torque high power for all machining tasks.
