15CDV6 is a chromium-molybdenum-vanadium heat treatable steel with high strength after heat treatment (1080-1280 N/mm²). OUTSTANDING YIELD STRENGTH Easily welded and does not require localised heat treatment after welding. 15CDV6 benefits from a combination of outstanding yield strength and good toughness. SUITABILITY 15CDV6 is a chromium vanadium stainless steel alloy supplied in tube form. The alloy is easily welded and heat treatable, and does not require localised heat treatment after welding. With outstanding yield strength the alloy also offers good toughness. The alloy finds use in applications particularly in aerospace and motorsport.
