BS S510 is an unalloyed heat treatable carbon steel available in sheet and strip which is suitable for low strength components. STEEL SHEET The alloy requires protection from corrosion if it is to be exposed to the atmosphere. The material is easily welded and has an annealed tensile strength (Rm) 430-540 N/mm². It is usually supplied softened. FEATURES BS S510 aerospace sheet is suitable for use in low strength components. It is an easily welded material which is heat treatable with improved tensile strength once annealed. It is supplied in the softened delivery condition and is available throughout the Smiths UK service centre network.
