More than 150 countries have already added biometric features to their passports. Numerous others will follow. Each of these documents must be reliably and securely readable around the globe, and their authenticity must be verifiable. For this purpose, we have developed the Golden Reader Tool together with the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) and made it commercially available with the platinum edition. Our tool helps to create conditions for worldwide interoperability in the field of eMRTDs, based on ICAO and EU specifications.
