The all-metal pallet was first introduced to the industry by Satco in 1968 and remains the international standard in all pallet and container base applications. While the basic design cannot be enhanced, the operational design is constantly being improved at Satco. This most current version incorporates the most rigid hollow rail ever offered and high strength corner castings. The base plate is a single sheet of Alcoa rolled and certified 7075-T6 aluminum riveted to high strength 6351-T6 aluminum alloy edge rails. Continuous track holes along the perimeter of the edge rails allow for easy net or strap attachment. The high profile rails enable serial numbers to be read when pallets are stacked. Satco's choice of materials and its experience of having manufactured over 100,000 units make the Satco pallet the most durable, cost effective aircraft cargo pallet in the world.
