Incorporating innovative propulsion technologies, the Ardiden 1U powers the LUH (Light Utility Helicopter) from India's Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL). It is a derivative of the Ardiden 1H1, and was certified in 2019 by EASA and 2021 by Indian Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). It made its maiden flight in September 2016. Since its first ground test in 2015, the Ardiden 1U maturation and certification campaign has accumulated around 1000 of hours of operation.
