ScotAirways Aircraft Hangar | Dundee, Scotland
Rubb Buildings UK completed construction of a relocatable service aircraft hangar for Scot Airways now known as Loganair Ltd in Dundee, Scotland. This contract follows similar projects in the UK for CityFlyer at Gatwick Airport.
Measuring 27m x 30m, the Scot Airways aeroplane hangar consists of Rubb's standard hot dip galvanized steel frame covered with a flame retardant self extinguishing high tenacity PVC coated polyester fabric, which has a life expectancy of at least 30 years. Rubb was responsible for the design, manufacture, assembly and all mechanical systems relating to the Dundee project.
Scot Airways General Manager, Brian Hetherington commented: "Rubb Buildings Ltd was responsible for the design, manufacture, assembly and all mechanical services relating to the aeroplane maintenance hangar. The project was completed to deadline and the hangar is already proving of great use to our company."
