We used our innovative modular design to develop a self-supporting building that can be disassembled. By being constructed in this way, the building can then be moved to an alternative location at a later date and rebuilt with either the same or different dimensions. The building was constructed with fully height-adjustable struts (assembly joints), so that it could be reconstructed with a lower eave height if needed, should the purpose of the structure change. The hangar was equipped with an inflatable insulated thermal roof, insulated side cladding, a custom rolling shutter unit, personnel entry doors and lighting.
Requirements
Cargolifter AG is a company founded to handle the transport of heavy and oversized loads. The customer needed a hangar to store scale models of airship prototypes during the testing phase of a product development project. It was especially important to the customer to be able to fully adapt the dimensions of the building for future modifications.
