Highly popular on european gliding airfields, our 180 tow plane is a reference when it comes to efficiency, adaptability and performances. Equiped with a 180hp Lycoming engine, you can either choose a variable pitch propeller (180/RCS) or a fixed pitch propeller. One thing is for sure, this tow plane is a relentless worker and will give you entire satisfaction more than any other. The 180R will offer you a climb rate of 551 fpm with a glider of 600 kilos behind him (when a 155R can only offer 384 fpm). If your objective is to do your job faster and if you don’t make fuel consumption your hobby horse, then the 180R is made for you. Safety, performance and efficiency. Its weak point remains fuel consumption : 39.0 litres per hour. If you want to reduce your hourly operating cost, just turn to 155R which still is very performant but far less “greedy” (23.8 litres per hour).
