An Ideal Solution for Border Patrol Agents The workstation is intended for automated reading and authenticity verification of ID-1, ID-2 and ID-3 documents, i.e. passports, ID cards, driver’s licenses, visas and other security documents. It consists of a tablet PC and a document reader. It can be used both as a portable device powered by a battery pack and as a desktop solution powered by the AC mains. The device captures images of documents in white, infrared, ultraviolet and white coaxial lights. Light combinations vary depending on device modification. Some modifications of Regula 83X3M include a biometric fingerprint scanner and a RFID chip reader. Regula 83X3M is supplied with a fastening kit - a shoulder strap and a waist strap for reliable fixation. The device is controlled via special software Regula Document Reader SDK. Unlimited abilities of SDK SDK software automatically captures and processes images, reads data from 1D and 2D barcodes, recognizes document type, detects and recognizes MRZ, processes graphic fields, performs OCR of the visual zone and compares text data. *By default Regula 83X3 is supplied with SDK Basic.
