Description

The PRB rotating heliport and airport beacons are intended to aid pilots in airfield visual acquisition. Under VFR conditions, this beacon can be seen over 30 miles (47 km) distant. The speed of rotation is 12-rpm producing 24 flashes per minute for the two lamp beacon. The beacons use 150-watt or 175-watt metal halide high intensity discharge PAR lamps. The beacon is powdercoat painted international aviation orange.
