The PSF-5 7225 elevated LED light marks the perimeter (FATO) of a heliport and has a ground level surface mounted helipad floodlight intended to "wash" the landing surface with light.
The purpose of the LED PSF floodlamps is to provide cones of light across the landing surface that provides improved conspicuity and depth perception to the pilot. The PSF floodlight housing is heavy duty
cast aluminum with a strong cast aluminum cover. The unit includes a complete glare shield for the two (2) flood lamps. A ground lug is included. The PSF is powdercoat painted aviation yellow for
corrosion resistance that meets the US Military Standard Salt Fog Test conducted per MIL-STD-810F, Method 509.4, Procedure I, paragraph 4.5.2.
