Pinette PEI. is a leading manufacturer of hydraulic presses and is involved in each step of thermoplastics and thermoset production and shaping, by providing a large range of processes. To produce polymeric composites from carbon fiber and polymers like PEEK or PPS, widely used in the modern industry, consolidation is an inescapable and vital operation. Pinette PEI. has the expertise to offer you state-of-the-art consolidation press systems, tried and tested all around the world.
CONSOLIDATION PROCESS FOR THERMOPLASTIC COMPOSITES
Before the shaping of consolidated composite plates into complex forms, unconsolidated polymer and fibers are transformed through simultaneous steps, all together designated under the name of the consolidation process: heating of the layer to curing temperature, application of the consolidation temperature during the crystallization cycle time and cooling down to room temperature under pressure.
PRESS SYSTEM FOR THERMOPLASTIC COMPOSITES CONSOLIDATION
Pinette PEI. equipment is the perfect fit for your consolidation process. Our compression press systems for consolidation feature:
Heating platens up to 450 °C
Guaranteed temperature homogeneity of +/- 5°C over the consolidated plates
Adaptable heating rate from 1 up to 10 °C per minute
Nonlinear cooling rate, through air and water, up to 10°C per minute.
PLC supervision
All heating or pressing processes are controlled and driven through our proprietary PLC, insuring the best availability and efficiency. Pinette PEI. press systems can run both automatically and semi-automatically, whatever your needs.
