Several modules are used to perform the conceptual design. The initial specifications are checked and validated. The final specifications are drawn up. Then begins an iterative process. A large number of configurations are investigated to size the aircraft for the main flight condition. The configuration which seems to be the best compromise is chosen. All internal components and structure are taken into account to avoid interference between components. Everything is analyzed: performance, static and dynamic stability, costs (Research & Development, manufacturing, operating, market price, breakeven point).
