Did you know?
Our silicone hoses are able to resist extreme temperature variation: -100°F to 500°F, meet FDA requirements per FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 for use with food contact surfaces, listed by the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF-51) for food and beverage equipment materials, and conforms to 3-A Sanitary Standards for Number 18-03 (Multiple Use Rubber and Rubber-Like Materials). We offer Nomex, Kevlar and some metal braid and we braid our hoses in house. We clean all hoses in our cleanroom per customer specifications.
Our Flex Hoses offer flexible oxygen line connections at low pressure conditions. These hoses offer connections along the main oxygen feed line to accommodate oxygen distribution within the aircraft. An example would be connecting the main oxygen feed line to a mask presentation unit, which can be found within a typical passenger aircraft. Another great feature is the flexibility, which helps compensate for vibration/movement, and is beneficial during installation/removal of a mask presentation unit.
Our Flex Hoses are covered with green Nomex to provide strength and protection from both fire and foreign substances such as water, oil, etc. The color green is used, as this is standard identification for oxygen. The fittings at each end are a female nut, are available as either a flared or flareless type, and the various sizes are listed in the table below. The type of material for the fitings is aluminum, and Type 316 Stainless Steel is available in size 5 only.
