LYRA LYRA is a radar family which is part of systems dedicated to different applications for: Homeland Protection (HP) Field applications as a Man Portable Radar (MPR) Vessel Traffic Service (VTS) In particular: LYRA 10 is the series for Homeland Protection available for fixed installations on a tower, on a suitable vehicle and Man Portable. LYRA 50 is the series for VTS applications and Coastline Surveillance. NEXT has worked on both LYRA 50 and LYRA 10 series. The Yemen and Turkey VTS systems comprise the LYRA50 radar; within these programmes, NEXT has developed the radar tracker and has carried out on site integration activities. NEXT has also performed the SW development, test and integration activities for the LYRA 10 radar presentation on the VTS system and for the Digital Processing VTS (DPV) panels dedicated to the LYRA 10 radar tuning.
