(MEDiterranean Upgrade Programme) MEDUP programme was focused on the evaluation of the CNS/ATM (Communication Navigation Surveillance in ATM)technologies allowing the implementation of Surveillance and Communication applications, such as ADS-B (Automatic Dependent Surveillance – Broadcast) and CPDLC (Controller Pilot Data Link Communication), in the Mediterranean area. NEXT has been involved in the phases of requirements analysis, software development, verification and validation, and integration of some system components.
