Description

Proteus® & Sanalite® are a family of polyethylene and polypropylene shapes that exhibit a high strength-to-weight ratio, excellent chemical resistance, low moisture absorption, and high performance in thermoforming and corrosive environments. These versatile plastic materials are easy to fabricate and find use a wide variety of applications below 180°F (82°C). Proteus® HDPE shapes are used in a variety of environments requiring excellent impact resistance, superior tensile strength, low moisture absorption, great chemical and corrosion resistance, and easy fabrication and welding capabilities. Due to these characteristics and properties, Proteus® HDPE is often a favored solution for components in chain guides, orthotic and prosthetic devices, tanks, thermoformed material handling devices, and water storage applications. Material Properties Excellent impact resistance High tensile strength Great chemical and corrosion resistance Low moisture absorption Easy to fabricate and weld Available Colors Proteus® HDPE stock shapes come in the following colors: Black, White Proteus® Homopolymer PP Natural shapes are characterized by their high strength-to-weight ratio, excellent chemical and corrosion resistance capabilities, thermoforming performance, and zero moisture absorption. In addition to these key properties, this grade of polypropylene is also FDA, NSF, and SSI Standard 20 compliant, making it ideal for chemical processing, food processing, storage, and medical applications. For their performance and compliance, Proteus® Homopolymer PP Natural components are often favored in orthotic and prosthetic devices, pump components, storage tanks, and valve bodies.
