Pressure sensitive altimeters are aircraft instruments indicating the flight altitude or height on the basis of measuring barometric pressure, changing with the altitude. The pointer display is actuated by a high stability beryllium capsule. A built-in vibrator minimises friction and optimises accuracy. The instrument is intended for measuring and indicating altitude or height between –300 and 10,000 m according to the model. Height is indicated by two pointers. One revolution of the bigger pointer indicates change in height of 1,000 m with graduations of 10 m. The smaller pointer has a range of 10,000 m per revolution. The altimeter has a built-in barometric counter with a range of 890 – 1,053 mb. The barometric scale can be made in different units of pressure. There is also a version with an illuminated instrument face (supply voltage: 5, 14, 28 VDC - according to customer requirements). This instrument fulfills the requirements and methodology rules ICAO and NLGS-2.
