Pressure sensitive altimeters are aircraft instruments indicating the flight altitude or height on the basis of measuring barometric pressure, changing with the altitude. The counter-pointer display is actuated by a high stability beryllium capsule. A built-in vibrator minimises friction and optimises accuracy. The instrument is intended for measuring and indicating altitude or height between –1,000 and 65,000 ft according to the model. In accordance with the intended use and model the altimeter is also supplied with an encoder with an ICAO output and serial output compatible with main GPS and autopilot suppliers. An electrical output of the barometric scale is also available. Height is indicated by the pointer and counter. One rotation of the pointer indicates a change in height of 1,000 ft with graduations of 20 ft. At the same time, the height is displayed on the counter. The altimeter has a built-in barometric counter with a range of 950 – 1,050 mb and 28.1 – 30.99 inHg. There is also a version with an illuminated instrument face (supply voltage: 5, 14, 28 VDC - according to customer requirements). This instrument fulfills the requirements and methodology rules TSO - C10B and RTCA/DO - 160D.
