This tube is designed for reliable sensing of total and static air pressure up to transonic and supersonic speeds. The outlets with marking are located at the rear end of the tube. The tube consists of a streamlined brass body, the outer surface of which is nickel plated and polished. There is a heater element inside of the tube to eliminate the risk of icing during flights in bad weather conditions. The difference between LUN 1150 and LUN 1153 is two rows of scanning apertures and a dual conduit of static pressure. This allows connection of several devices to a static system.
