Pressure sensitive altimeters are aircraft instruments indicating the flight altitude or height on the basis of measuring barometric pressure, changing with the altitude. The pointer display is actuated by high stability beryllium capsule. A built-in vibrator minimizes friction and optimizes accuracy. The instrument is intended for measuring and indicating altitude or height between –1,000 and 20,000 ft according to the model. Height is indicated by three pointers. One revolution of the largest pointer indicates change in height of 1,000 ft with graduations of 20 ft. The smallest pointer has a range of 10,000 ft and a thin hand (or pointer with triangle - depending on the design) 100,000 ft per revolution with graduations of 10,000 ft. The altimeter has a built-in barometric counter with a range of 950 – 1,050 mb and 28.1 – 30.99 inHg. There is also a version with an illuminated instrument face (supply voltage: 5, 14, 28 VDC - according to customer requirements). This instrument fulfills the requirements and methodology rules TSO - C10B and RTCA/DO - 160D.
