The B-5 Probe is the only FAA-approved STC’d internal carburetor temperature sensing device. Other probes which utilize a simple indicator light cannot offer precise temperature information. They disrupt fuel flow or don’t fit inside the carburetor to sense air temperature at the throttle valve.
