Aircraft and helicopter light lenses and covers are produced in mono- or complex multilayer tailored to the specific needs of each aircraft producer. Covers for landing lights and wing tips must endure some wear and tear during flight operation. This is why resistant materials are required in order to achieve cost-efficient durability. Based on more than 70 of return of experience, Mecaplex develop different concepts which are more resistant than the polycarbonate or acrylic that has been used to date.
