Easy to work with Superior dimensional stability Cryogenically serviceable Master Bond EP45HTAN is a two component, thermally conductive, electrically insulative epoxy for bonding and sealing. The mix ratio is a forgiving 100 to 30 by weight. Parts A and B are thixotropic pastes. lt is 100% reactive and does not contain any solvents or diluents. EP45HTAN does not cure at ambient temperatures and requires an elevated temperature cure. The optimum cure is 2-3 hours at 300°F followed by a post cure of 3-4 hours at 350°F. Although it is a thixotropic paste, it will flow slightly when being cured. This epoxy combines cryogenic temperature serviceability along with high temperature resistance. It bonds well to a wide variety of substrates, such as metals, glass, composites and many plastics. Its service temperature range is 4K to +500°F. It withstands tough chemical environments ranging from exposure to water, oils and fuels, as well as many acids and bases. The color of Parts A and B is gray. Some other desirable features of this system include its dimensional stability and low shrinkage upon cure. EP45HTAN can be used in the aerospace, electronic, specialty OEM, oil and gas processing, among other industries where extreme low and high temperature resistance and thermal conductivity are important requirements.
