HIGH-COMFORT CREW SEAT Since the 1940’s, Martin-Baker has been the world leader in the design and production of aircraft seating systems that save lives and prevent injuries caused by accidents. Our seat products are found in all types of commercial and military aircraft. The Enhanced Comfort Crew Seat has been designed and qualified in response to industry demand for a fully adjustable crew seat for civilian applications. The High Comfort Crew Seat combines state-of-the-art attenuation system technology, class-leading adjustability and minimal mass into a single package. It is certified to TSO-C127a. Comfort was a critical design parameter for this seat. It has a long list adjustment features to allow crew to adapt the seat to their exact requirements using easily accessible controls mounted on the seat. These adjustment features are available throughout the flight. Among the adjustable features are the headrest, TSO-C114 approved five point harness, armrests, thigh support, vertical height, fore/aft position, back recline angle and a fully adjustable lumbar support that offers an adaptable shape in addition to height adjustment. The standard upholstery is a hard-wearing black fabric material that encloses a next generation long endurance sitting cushion design based on ejection seat technology. This cushion material has proven its enhanced comfort performance in long-duration missions in F/A-18 aircraft. Other upholstery and cushion types are available on request. The seat is easily installed and removed using quick release attachments and has been designed to offer the maximum level of reliability along with minimum maintenance tasks.
