Tool holders with a revolver constitute the choice of Riello when it comes to machining in sequence with different tools on the same working unit. Indeed, for Riello it is the one and only technical solution which allows maximum reliability when changing tools in an environment which is strongly “contaminated” by swarf and coolant. Indeed, it is typical for Transfer machines to have to change one tool while the units nearby are working. Retooling positions, which can be from 2 up to 8, have all tool changers supplied with Riello revolvers, with Hirth couplings to ensure maximum precision and reliability. The attached spindle noses can mount on bearings with a diameter ranging from 50 to 100 mm. and can reach up to 12.000 RPM.
