The LW4 Radar Test Panel is a unit designed especially for the new Digital Radar Systems while still testing the older types. Test harnesses for LinAire's older Radar Test Panel also work with this new panel. The panel operates 17 VDC, 28 VDC, 115 VAC units and combinations. Termian strip inputs are provided for AC and DC input. Voltages are switch controlled and fused with front panel mounted assemblies. The unit has sixteen Test Jacks, identified alphabetically, for voltage checks. Six BNC connectors allow convenient scope connection to any Video, IF, Trigger, Data, Boresight, or other similar signals. Trigger and IF (or other alternate data on these lines) are interruptible by coax disconnection at the panel. Five Volt, 14 Volt, and 28 Volt indicator Pilot Lamps can be operated by selecting the proper voltage on the IND. PILOT switch. The ANT SIZE switch is provided for selecting different antenna sizes for those Radar units using more than one size antenna. The GYRO SIMULATOR has four output ranges: 50, 100, 150, and 200 mv. per degree to satisfy the requirements of any antenna. Antenna Directions UP, DOWN, LEFT, or RIGHT can be generated at selected Angles of 10, 15, 20, or 30 Degrees. Rugged rack and panel connectors are used for Radar unit connection assuring many years of reliable continuous service. The LW4 is standard rack size (19"W x 8.75"H) for rack mounting or can be used "stand alone."
