The LV-6 Test Panel is designed to provide bench test facilities for control and instrumentation simulation of navigation equipment including units withinternal marker and glideslope sections. The Panel can be used to test the Nav receiver alone or test the Nav system with receiver, controller and indicator. Each new harness for the LV-6 Test Panel is delivered with documentation showing signal test points and notes to aid testing. Thepanel operates Navigation receivers with VOR/LOC, GLIDESLOPE, and MARKER sections. The panel provides the connection of Navigation indicators used with the receivers for system testing. Most of these indicators can be tested on the LV-6 without a receiver connected to the panel. The panel provides connection of both serial and parallel controllers. Backwards compatibility with the LV-5 allows the use of the LVC control heads and main harnesses. Serial data is patched through the LV-6 to the unit under test from a serial control head or other serial data source.
