Aircraft gearbox

Since over 50 years ago, Liebherr-Aerospace has developed and produced gearboxes and high precision gears for helicopters and airplanes. With power transmission gearboxes, mechanical power is taken from a helicopter engine or auxiliary power unit and provided to other users which need this power throughout the aircraft. High speed aircraft engine power gearboxes provide power at extremely high efficiencies and rotating speeds. Liebherr gears are integrated in actuators and gearboxes that are part of the transmission systems which power the aircraft flap and slat actuators.
