Main functionsThe hot and cold water generator allows to regulate a hot water vessel and a cold water vessel in order to supply hot and cold water to the tap test benches, all in a closed circuit.Equipped with a heating and cooling capacity of 2×30 kW, this generator can provide a continuous flow in a closed circuit of 28 l/min with a Delta T of 50 °C.Thanks to its energy recovery system, this generator only consumes 35 kW of electricity for a thermal power of 60 kW.Combined with benches equipped with hot/cold water switchers, energy consumption can be greatly reduced when the tested faucets are not in the mixing position (50% hot 50% cold). Operating modeA chilled water vessel, used as a cold reserve, is cooled by a heat pump. This heat pump transfers some of the "pumped" calories into the cold reserve to the hot water vessel. The control of the cold water vessel is done by controlled exchange with the chilled water vessel. The control of the hot water vessel is finalized by an electrical resistance. The surplus total heat (part not recovered by the heat pump) is discharged by an air heater, which can be offset from the generator.
