Regulator 14 Volt (Alternator) Piper PN 557-337 Piper The VR371 is a solid State voltage regulator containing over voltage protection and ground fault lock-off for the field output The unit delivers a constant frequency puise width modulated fleld control to maintain alternator output voltage. Over voltage protection will trip off the regulated output after the voltage regulator fails to maintain the correct level. The unit will remain locked off until power is momentarily removed and reinstated. The unit is internally protected against damage to the output stage in the event of a ground fault to the field wire. The unit will be locked off until power is momentarily removed and reinstated. This unit is recommended for installation inside the aircraft cabin away from any water other than condensation.
