The design has won the O.A.G. Travel Awards’ “Best International First Class” for 2001, 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2006.
Forming part of a US$300 million project, JPA was chosen to complete a total redesign of Singapore Airline’s first class cabin. JPA designed the ‘Sky Suite’ – a private individual suite with one of the industry’s first fully lie-flat beds. The suite also incorporates a large fold away monitor, stationery drawer, ottoman feature and single slab table.
Upholstered in leather trimmed with Burrwood, the suite enables passengers to luxuriate in the state of the art seat in elegance that evokes the golden age of travel. The overall cabin aesthetic is that of classic elegance, spacious and organised.
Since its launch in 18998, the ‘Sky Suite’ has won several awards and 12 years later is still delivering a luxury experience for Singapore Airline’s passengers.
