This is a 2 span propped portal framed building, 80m x 41m, with 7.5m clear height. The rear elevation has a full gable frame to permit future end extension, and the steel is hot dip galvanised. The REIDsteel hangar door has 12 slabs on 3 tracks, giving an entrance 78m wide by 6m high. The minimum clear opening across the door width is 26m. REIDs supplied and installed system ‘K’ personnel doors, and a single girder overhead crane spanning 14m, with 60m travel. 5% of the roof area is polycarbonate Safespan factory sealed roof lights, to provide natural light within the hangar.
