The winding machine is a special facility which is used by INVENT to produce precedential rotational components, such as pressure tanks or cross braces from fibre composite materials. For this, fibre bundles, so-called rovings, are soaked in synthetic resin and, under CNC control and in accordance with the direction of loading, are laid onto a core and subsequently cured. The fibres are aligned at an angle of between 0° and nearly 90° in relation to the longitudinal axis of the component. The winding machine can be controlled via five axes simultaneously and thereby enables the supremely accurate application of fibres to structures with highly-complex forms.
