Elevated Approach / Side Row Light is an elevated approach light/ side barrette for runways to indicate the direction of approach or to give the flight crew a better idea of the approach speed during darkness. The approach light with white colour is placed as an extension of the center line of the runway while the side barrette with red colour is placed on either side of the extended center line. Elevated Approach / Side Row Light is a unidirectional light that complies with the standards for ICAO and NATO STANAG 3316.
