The UTM Hub is the platform in charge of coordinating and centralizing all the services required to guarantee the correct operation of drones. It implements a connectivity layer though which the different actors of the system may exchange information and services: service operators (USPs), drone information services providers (USDP), authorities or any other actor involved.
On top of this, the platform embodies a real-time, bidirectional interconnection layer with the ATM system, allowing data exchange though standards of easy implementation. The UTM Hub is responsible for the centralization of this interaction, acting as proxy and protecting the ATM system. Moreover, the UTM Hub automatically translates all information into ATM standards, avoiding the need to modify the current ATM system.
Additionally, it grants the authorities the ability to centralize critical services, coordinate the different actors as well as incorporate third-party services.
Some of its functionalities are:
Interfaces with the national registry
Centralized management of airspace access procedures (authorizations, strategic deconfliction of flight plans, etc.)
Real- time monitoring of drone traffic available for the authorities, including tactical conflict detection and resolution.
Air structure, capacity and service delegation management for local authorities
Information management.
The UTM Hub is completed with the UTM Connect, adjusting to the UTM’s deployment of needs and its roadmap.
