Cockpit Voice & Flight Data Recorder developed by HAL Korwa is a small, lightweight critical equipment to record flight parameters, audio & image data in crash proof memory. The system has an in-built data acquisition system which gives the flexibility to acquire data in Analog, Discrete, Frequency & ARINC -429 formats along with digital data on ARINC-717. The system can be configured as per user demand for single FDR, single CVR or combi recorders. The system has been qualified for use on both Military & Civil Platforms. A handheld device with preloaded software interfaces with CVR/FDR system to download high speed data with easy graphical user interface. The engineering analysis of recorded data can be performed in tabular & graphical formats. The data can be exported in excel sheets. Optional SDK is available to analyse the recorded data for flight path reconstruction in 2-D & 3-D analysis with voice data synchronization Characteristics. CVR/FDR works with following units:Control Unit (CU): A control unit (CU) is provided along with CVR unit. It is used by both flight and maintenance crew for the purpose of operation and maintenance.Cockpit Area Microphone (CAM): is installed in the cockpit and interfaced using correct polarity with CVR for capturing the surrounding voices inside the cockpit.Recorder Independent Power Supply (RIPS): RIPS is an alternate power source that supplies direct current voltage to CVR for duration of 10 ±1 minutes, whenever the primary aircraft power is removed from the recorder.
