Multimode Navigation System, MNS3005A is an integrated VOR, ILS, MARKER Receiver. VOR is used for route navigation and it operates in the frequency range of 108.00 to 117.95 MHz. The localizer part of ILS occupies a frequency band in 108.10 MHz to 111.95 MHz of the VOR frequency range of 108 to 117.95MHz. Glide slope and localizer are used for instrument landing. The Glide slope operates in the UHF range from 329 MHz to 335MHz. Marker is used for runway approach and it operates at frequency 75MHz. The system complies with the requirements of RTCA DO-196 (VOR), RTCA DO-195(Localizer), RTCA DO192 (Glide slope) and RTCA DO-143(Marker). The receiver has MIL-STD-1553B and ARINC-429-429 interface to output the navigation, runway approach and landing data to onboard avionics.
