EXTRA OPTIONS: UPGRADE YOUR UNMANNED AVIATION VEHICLE (UAV) The basic system package can be expanded with a wide variety of options. Operators can adapt the system to meet certification requirements, increase overall performance, expand mission capabilities or increase the datalink range. All options can be integrated into the HEF 32 system ex-factory and can be selected independently of each other. TRACKING ANTENNA INCREASE YOUR DATALINK RANGE AND THROUGHPUT The tracking antenna can be used to significantly increase the maximum communication range as compared to the omnidirectional antenna system. It is based on a rugged pan & tilt unit, high gain antenna system and telescopic mast. The tracking antenna maintains the full MIMO capability of the HEF 32’s communication system and it can be tuned to the entire set of available communication frequencies, ex-factory. At maximum transmission power, depending on weather conditions and frequency of choice, the tracking antenna provides in excess of 10 Mbps data rate at a line-of-sight range of more than 40 kilometres from the Ground Control Station. The entire tracking antenna kit is supplied in its own rugged transportation case and can be built up or disassembled in a matter of minutes. The supplied pneumatic mast allows a maximum elevation of the communication antennae of 6.0 meters.
