Description

DG 51 is a new generation ultrasonic thickness gauge. Small and light weight, it features long operation time and a high degree of accuracy. DG 51 offers a wide range of functions including echo-echo technique for painted surfaces, autocalibration through automatic probe recognition, data logger, and wide gain adjustment. DG 51 is designed for both standard measurements as well as for complex applications such as thru-paint echo to echo measurements. DG 51 is well suited for use in all applications where a detailed data report has to be produced. In the field it is often crucial for the operator to adjust the gain according to surface condition and/or the state of corrosion. DG 51 provides a wide gain range (≈ 40dB) with V-path correction for carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminium. This assures a high degree of accuracy. Correct coupling and underthickness display indications are also provided with display freezing of minimum value detected. DG 51 is available sealed for underwater use. TECHNICAL FEATURES Measuring technique: Pulse-echo and echo-echo Measurements: Thickness and velocity Probe recognition: Automatic AutoCal: When probe is recognized Calibration: On 5 or 25 mm Velocity range: From 1000 to 9999 m/sec. Unit: mm or inches
