Imagine the airplane of your dreams: this is Storch’s philosophy, shared by hundreds of pilots whose dreams have come true with this airplane. In 1991 we launched a highly innovative product onto the aviation market. Storch was, and still is, the bridge between “tubes and fabric” models and the modern idea of an ultralight. The successful combination of aluminium and composites, which characterised the Storch at the time, opened the way for the subsequent design of airplanes built entirely of composites. Today’s Storch is a side by side two-seater ultralight, with a high wing laminar airfoil, built entirely of composites materials, and it is available in three different models, as well as an amphibious or hydro version. Storch S is the last produced variant of Storch. It is an excellent aircraft for advanced training, leisure flights and long range travels. The wing differs from the Storch CL and HS models because, instead of the usual Junkers flapperon, Storch S uses slotted flap and separate ailerons. Also the wing area and the wing cord are reduced compared to the other models, giving to the Storch S the specific connotation of tourer aircraft. The total fuel capacity has been increased to 90 lt. The estimated 800,000 flying hours achieved by the over 1,100 Storch aircrafts produced, gives it a flying history which is one of the largest in its class.
