The EMS module receives signals from engine sensors for display on your EFIS. Order the SV-EMS-220 for most engines, SV-EMS-221 for the Rotax 912 iS / 915 iS only. Engine sensor/ harness packages for Lycoming/Continental/Jabiru/Rotax engines sold separately. Sensors/ harnesses available a-la-carte for other engines. Two modules can be used to monitor dual engines or to provide up to 28 EGT&CHT inputs for large engines (SkyView only).
Rotax 912 iS / 915 iS: The SV-EMS-221 is designed to support the fuel injected Rotax 912 iS / 915 iS. It receives many engine parameters directly from the 912 iS / 915 iS engine computers via a dual-channel CAN bus interface. Engine parameters available from the 912 iS / 915 iS engine computer include RPM, manifold pressure, oil pressure, oil temperature, coolant temperature, EGT for all four cylinders, ECU voltage, and engine hours. All the other normal SkyView SV-engine functions are still available through regular connections, including fuel level, trim position, battery voltage, and contacts. The SV-EMA-221 replaces the SV-EMS-220 - both cannot be used with the same engine.
Additional Information
Flexibility: The SkyView System is highly configurable for you to design the exact Engine Monitoring display you want. Common engine configurations come standard, but an easy to use setup menu allows you to choose exactly which sensors, displays, ranges and alarms you want.
Some of the parameters you can measure with the SkyView EMS include:
Tach
Manifold Pressure
Oil Pressure
Oil Temperature
Fuel Flow with Fuel Computer
Fuel Pressure
CHT
EGT
Voltage
Current
Fuel Computer
Engine and Flight Timers (It also can monitor discrete sensors for):
