Meets or exceeds Underwriters Laboratories (UL) and/or the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) safety standards. Construction Details Insulation: Extruded PTFE, .013" (.33 mm) wall thickness. Conductor: Silver-plated copper. Colors: Available in 10 standard colors (see page 92). Identification: Surface printed as required by UL or CSA. UL 1164, 1180, CSA 300V (200˚ C) wires have extruded PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) insulation for weight and space savings. These wires are ideal for general appliance wiring and other applications where chemical exposure, temperature extremes, and dielectric stresses are possible.
